The bionic plastic ventilator ZAbluefin has been developed to fulfil the operating conditions that are typical of climate control units. Through bionic optimisation, it has been possible to achieve the same rigidity as conventional plastic ventilators, with less material expenditure. The shape of the blades was inspired by natural forms, namely the wings of an owl and the fins of the humpback whale. These optimisations reduce noise levels during operation and ensure high efficiency.
