The Schindler 3300 Solar is a passenger elevator that runs up to 100 % using solar energy. Through energy management, solar energy is used to power the elevator while simultaneously charging an energy storage system. Here, energy generated by the lift is captured for later use, for example during braking. In battery mode, the lift can manage up to 400 journeys. Because the lift is available independently of mains power, this helps conserve environmental resources and increases urban mobility.
