The two cornerstones of the RAW LINES – POSITIVE MATERIALS project emphasise the role of the material in the broader context of sustainable design. In pursuit of healthy material innovation, the RAW LINES collection uses the biologically recyclable SeaCell™ algae fibre as a knitting yarn. All components, including dyes, are healthy and safe. Alongside, the MATERIAL INNOVATION APP helps designers to learn about the qualitative characteristics of different materials with regard to design, ecology, culture and social issues, as well as economics.
