The proper disinfection of hands is one of the most important measures against the transmission of germs in hospitals. As everyday hospital life can often leave little time for this task, the conceptual approach taken by the project focuses on UV-C radiation for hand disinfection. Using this novel and as yet little-tested technology, PURElight is developing an easy-to-handle prototype that saves time and resources compared to conventional methods of disinfection.
