This materials study examines the potential of pine needles as a source of fibres for the production of textile materials using various ecologically sound techniques and optimally natural additives such as Ruislip. The resulting fabrics and yarns could find application in the interiors- and clothing sector. The benefits offered by the development of pine needles include their regional origin and the compostability of some of the substances.
