Mud Jeans stands for sustainable and fairly produced fashion with an emphasis throughout on the ecological aspects of the textile industry. The overall manufacturing process involves the incineration of many tonnes of cotton waste, while a single pair requires 8,000 litres of water to produce. Mud Jeans utilises the highest possible proportion of recycled cotton – even the cotton waste is turned into labels. A leasing system enables the return of used jeans, which can then return to the loop as a raw material.
