Bugs' Bunny’s mealworm-based ‘meat loaf’ renders insect meat in a new form, making it almost indistinguishable from conventional meat.

On the basis of insects, Carolin Schulze produces a mouldable material that is processed through a 3D food printer into known foodstuff forms, thereby conveying the insects into a new ‘state of aggregation’. Processing insects into food is known means of solving future world food problems – therefore, this forward-looking work can be considered exceedingly contemporary and trendsetting.«
