The DRAINSTON protect surface covering is used for decentralised rainwater management and can be deployed in treatment of heavy metal- and mineral oil-containing rainwater drains. The pollutant capture rate (combined with reversible filtering efficiency) and water permeability of the mixture of crushed stone, grit and hard rock makes the road surfacing suitable for areas with a high to medium degree of contamination.
