From 9 to 22 September, the interactive sustainability exhibition “GREEN UP YOUR LIFE! – Weil dein Leben nicht recycelbar ist” will be on display at Bremen Central Station. It shows how sustainability can easily be integrated into everyday life – with interactive AR elements, practical tips, and a rally through participating shops in the station mall. You can win a high-quality goodie bag containing a reusable fruit/vegetable bag, a beeswax wrap, and a stainless steel straw set. Admission is free.

Eight innovative projects will be presented, all of which have been awarded the Federal Ecodesign Award – the highest award by the German government for ecological design:
Satino PureSoft, Too Good To Go, Worm Up, COMPOSTELLA, Repair Rebels, Peak Pick, MOOT – Made Out Of Trash, VELOSPEEDER

The vernissage will take place on 10 September at 3 p.m. in the entrance hall of the central station. It will be opened by station manager Heiko Siemers (DB InfraGO AG). Afterwards, three award winners will provide exciting insights into their projects:

From October 1 to 19, 2025, the exhibition “GREEN UP YOUR LIFE! – Because your life isn’t recyclable” will be presented at Cologne Central Station. It shows how sustainable action can succeed in everyday life – and inspires people to get active themselves.

Eight award-winning projects of the German Ecodesign Award make the exhibition a special experience: In addition to informative panels, the innovative solutions are also brought to life through exciting exhibits. The award-winning projects – from smart everyday helpers and creative upcycling ideas to sustainable product alternatives – are exhibited on the planting islands throughout the station.

In addition, Cologne city marketing is presenting three of its own sustainability projects – including a new concept for shading Hohe Straße in summer, developed in cooperation with the University of Cologne.

What visitors can also look forward to:

• Interactive augmented reality elements
• Practical tips for more sustainability in everyday life
• An exciting rally through participating shops in the station – with attractive prizes such as a high-quality goodie bag all about sustainability

On October 2 at 3:00 p.m., the official vernissage will take place in the Market Hall of the central station – with an opening speech by station manager Kai Rossmann (DB InfraGO AG), inspiring keynote speeches from winners of the German Ecodesign Award, and a subsequent networking event including a guided tour of the exhibition.

From 26 November to 10 December 2025, the interactive sustainability exhibition “GREEN UP YOUR LIFE!” will be on display at Berlin Central Station.

The exhibition vividly demonstrates how innovative products, services, and everyday helpers can already make a noticeable contribution to environmental protection. Augmented-reality elements and easy-to-implement tips for more sustainable living offer visitors a practical, hands-on introduction to the topic. Adding to the fun, a rally through the shopping area of Berlin Central Station gives participants the chance to win sustainable surprises.

The focus is on eight award-winning or nominated projects from the German Ecodesign Award. The exhibition highlights key everyday topics such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and the fight against food waste—showing that everyone can make a difference.

Vernissage & Get-Together

The official opening will take place on the central ground-floor area of Berlin Central Station.

Monika Jung (Station Manager, DB InfraGO AG) will welcome the guests. This will be followed by keynote talks from winners of the German Ecodesign Award: Dr. Monika Hauck (Repair Rebels GmbH), Michael Pfeifer (MOOT Upcycling GmbH), Dipl.-Ing. Peter Frieden (VELOGICAL engineering GmbH), and Katharina Hauke (Too Good To Go ApS).
